Why Apple stores are great.

Except for an AppleTV I don't own any Apple products but I still love Apple. Not a great deal of logic as I could afford a Mac but just haven't... yet.

Anyway its the stores I'm thinking about a the moment (probably one of the reasons I like Apple).

1) Normally I don't like it when the assistant interrupts your browsing, "hey man I'm just looking... why the pressure". But that doesn't happen in the Apple store, I quite like having a chat. They seem to know about the products (and often seem to own them), don't mind having a chat about you (six months time) planned purchases even just chat about what stuff they have.

2) There's me messing around with a laptop. Want to see how good the built in camera is and also trying to waste some time as my sister wants to look in ANOTHER cloths shop. Bunch of kids come into the shop and start using the laptops around me. The shop assistant comes over and sees they are using it to chat online so asks them to stop... boo, nasty Apple man nobody was using the laptops (though the thought of not being surrounded by 10 giggling teenagers sounded like a good thing).

But no, not nasty Apple man! He directed them to the area just for that, with bean bag seat and all.

How cool is that! Not only allowing the adults to play in peace but also breading a bunch of future customers. And also meaning that a few of those kids parents will later be coming to collect the kids and be tempted to at least look at the shiny Apple products.

No wonder (apparently) they have a bigger sales per square foot figure.
